THURSDAY, MAY 25, 2017 – 77 DAYS UNTIL THE START OF THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR!

 

SPORTS:

 

Track: Four of our students will be representing UTMS tomorrow in the Indiana Miracle Mile due to their outstanding 1 mile times this year. Eighth graders, Emily Gaylord, Amaya Turner, and Hailey Orosz and seventh grader Emma Hellwege, will be competing in a 1 mile race against other top middle school girls in Indianapolis. They were invited to participate based on their performances this past season. Best of luck ladies!

 

Cross-country: Our cross-country coaches are sponsoring a summer running program. There will be fun practices beginning June 12. For more information, pick up a flyer in the office.

 

High School Cross-Country Meeting: There will be a meeting after school today for all 8th graders signed up for cross-country next year. It will be in Mr. Guillen’s room.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

Cafeteria: If you have a lunch debt, please repay that before the last day of school.

 

Yearbooks are available for purchase. Cost $40.00.

 

Choir Spring Concert: The UTMS and WHS Choral Department will have their spring choir concert this evening at 7:30PM. Come and listen to the choirs sing songs by Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, Ruthie B, Coldplay, American Authors and quite a few others. All the middle school choirs, high school choirs and show choirs will be performing..........and it's FREE!! Come and enjoy an evening of fun music.

 

Media Center: The Young Hoosier readers at our school chose The Selection by Kiera Cass as the best new Young Hoosier book for 2017. The Selection was also voted the Middle School Book-of-the-Year in the Indiana state-wide contest. Congratulations to the author Kiera Cass and to all of our readers for your votes.

 

Medications: Any student that has medication at the nurse needs to have a parent come get it. The nurse cannot hold any medications over the summer months.

 

Remember: Be a buddy, not a bully. So be respectful, be responsible, and be your best!
