UTMS will take on the South Central Satellites next week – Tuesday, September 25th at home! Game time is 5:30pm. Let’s go, Bearcats!

            The matches coming up next week are:

            Monday, September 24th

                        7th/8th Grade A Teams vs. Griffith at 5:00pm

            Tuesday, September 25th

                        8th Grade A/B Teams @ Fegely Middle School at 5:00pm

                        7th Grade A/B Teams vs. Fegely Middle School at 5:00pm

            Wednesday, September 26th

                        7th/8th Grade A Teams vs. Lake Station Edison at 5:00pm

CROSS COUNTRY:

The boys and girls XC team did an amazing job at the Viking Invite. 14 teams with over 100 runners per race. The following runners were medalists.

            6th Grade:

                        Helana Turner – 8th

                        Alijah Means – 14th

            7th Grade:

                        Lucca Okeley – 5th

                        Mark Johnson – 14th

            Great Job to all runner. NO PRACTICE TODAY!

Our runners will be traveling to 3 Rivers County Park on Monday, September 24th to face River Forest and Griffith at 5:00pm. They will also face Hobart at Maple Lake on Wednesday, September 26th at 4:30pm.

            Look for a sign-up sheet in the office starting Monday, September 24th.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Tutoring will resume next week!

If you are struggling with homework, study skills, or even missing work, head to the middle school media center after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The high school Key Club offers free tutoring services in any subject until 4:00. No need to sign up – just come unless we notify you that it has been canceled for the day.

Seussical the Musical

Auditions will be next week on Tuesday, September 25th and Wednesday, September 26th starting at 3:30 pm in the auditorium. Tuesday will be the vocal audition and Wednesday will be the dance audition. Any student hoping to be in the cast of the show needs to attend both days of auditions or come see Ms. Mak or Austin about an alternate time to audition. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes to move in for the dance audition. We are looking for a wide variety of characters and a large cast, so we hope to see you all at auditions!!!

“Once Upon a Mattress”

Over the weekend, four of our UTMS students will be performing in a community youth theatre production of "Once Upon a Mattress," the musical comedy about the Princess and the Pea. Come out to Hobart High School today and Saturday, September 22nd at 7:00 PM to see Colton Darr, Keegan Darr, Mya DeJesus, and Carli DeJesus on stage! Ms. Mak says "Break a leg!”
