ATHLETICS:

           

BOYS BASKETBALL

            6th Grade put up a tough fight against Hanover Central. Final score was:

                        Hanover: 21                 UTMS: 16

Top scores were Brett Grabek – 5, Carter Blane – 4, Caleb Klimczak – 2, Will Fairbairn – 2, and Jaxtyn Alexander – 2.

7th Grade also gave it their best with a final score of:

            Hanover: 54                 UTMS: 16

Leading scorers: River Halsey – 5, Joey Silkett – 3, Jonathan Bullock – 3, Jackson Smith – 3, Mark Johnson – 2.

8th Grade Bearcats were edged last night at the hands of a trapping Hanover team. The final score was:

Hanover: 59                 UTMS: 25

Bright spots for the Cats were Breckin Fritch, Marcos Silva, and Drake Simatovich on the boards and Austin Goodrich on the offensive end. Nolan Henslee was the epitome of a Bearcat by his play on both ends of the floor.

LET’S GO, BEARCATS!

 

TRACK AND FIELD CONDITIONING

Conditioning will start on Tuesday, November 27th from 3:30pm – 5:00pm. All conditioning sessions will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the field house until further notice. Please be dressed and ready to go by 3:30pm.

SOFTBALL

There will be a softball open gym this Saturday, December 1st from 3:00pm – 5:00pm in the Field House. It is a high school workout but it is open to middle school students as well.

8th GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL

Any 8th grade girl interested in playing basketball needs to attend a call-out meeting on Tuesday, December 4th. The meeting will be held in the auditorium at the end of lunch at 10:55am.

 

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

BOMB THE GRINCH

We’re kicking off December with BOMB THE GRINCH! Starting Monday, December 3rd through Friday, December 14th bring in any pennies or dollars to raise your Advisor totals but watch out! Any silver coins “bombed” in ANOTHER Advisor class will drop that Advisor’s total. The totals from each Advisor will be donated to the Lunch with Santa program. Prizes will be announced soon but…you WANT to win this one!!

ROBOTICS CLUB

There will be a Robotics competition on Saturday, December 15th at Portage High School. There is no entrance fee and the doors open at 7:30am with the opening ceremony starting at 9:20am. Rise and shine and come see an amazing display of our students’ hard work!

CAFETERIA

The cafeteria will be serving a holiday meal on Wednesday, December 5th to all students.  A la carte items will not be available to purchase on that day.

HONOR ROLL AND ATTENDANCE

Make sure to check the list of Honor Roll students and Perfect, Exemplary, and Commendable Attendance students. If your name isn’t on the list – let us know! The lists are located on the office door by the commons.
