WEDNESDAY, MAY 24, 2017 – 78 DAYS UNTIL THE START OF THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR!

 

SPORTS:

 

WHS Girls’ Golf: Any 8th grade girl interested in playing on the high school golf team should plan to attend a callout meeting after school TODAY in Mr. Lyons’ room, Room 204, in the high school. The meeting should last no more than 15 minutes.

 

Cross-country: Our cross-country coaches are sponsoring a summer running program. There will be fun practices beginning June 12. For more information, pick up a flyer in the office.

 

High School Cross-Country Meeting: There will be a meeting after school tomorrow for all 8th graders signed up for cross-country next year. It will be in Mr. Guillen’s room.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

Yearbooks: The yearbooks have been delivered! There are 13 extra copies available. Cost $40.00.

 

Media Center News:

  • Congratulations to 8th grader, Angela Laing, and 6th grader, Griffin Tipold; they were the final winners for the box tops/Campbell's UPC drawings. See Mrs. Ditchcreek for your prize. Please continue to collect over the summer. The next drawing will take place when the new school year starts!

 

  • The Media Center will not be open today due to the ZAO Island reward trip. Students are not allowed to enter the library without an adult. Scheduled lunch detentions will resume tomorrow.

 

Band Concert: Congratulations to our band students for their very fine concert performance last night.

 

Music in the Parks: Congratulations to the 45 UTMS choir students who performed in Zion, IL at the Music in the Parks festival this past weekend. The students received a first place, superior rating for their performance and then braved the rain to spend the rest of the day at Six Flags Great America. We are very proud of these students for representing UTMS with an outstanding performance.

 

Choir Spring Concert: The UTMS and WHS Choral Department will have their spring choir concert tomorrow at 7:30PM. Come and listen to the choirs sing songs by Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, Ruthie B, Coldplay, American Authors and quite a few others. All the middle school choirs, high school choirs and show choirs will be performing..........and it's FREE!! Come and enjoy an evening of fun music.

 

Medications: Any student that has medication at the nurse needs to have a parent come get it. The nurse cannot hold any medications over the summer months.

 

Remember: Be a buddy, not a bully. So be respectful, be responsible, and be your best!
