SPORTS:

 

Volleyball Results vs Boone Grove:

7th Grade: 7th grade beat Boone in two games. The team was on fire and was led by Meghan Beck's serving, snagging 21 points between both games. The match ended with an exciting kill by our setter, Camryn Kruel. It was all-around stellar play by the whole team

8th Grade lost.

 

Volleyball Today: The 7th and 8th grade A teams will host Lake Station Edison in the Conference Quarterfinals today at 5:00 p.m.

 

Football results:

Last night the UTMS football team defeated the Hanover Central Wildcats 36 – 6. The offense was led by a dominating offensive line of Michael Bell, Josh Bell, Dillan Andrew, Trent Duffee, Max Mortimer, Josh Burton, Nate Govert and Blaise Evensen. Edwin Hernandez scored 5 touchdowns and Tyler Cook added 3 extra points. The defense was led by Anthony Getty, Josh Bell, Michael Bell, Anthony Kestle, Edwin Hernandez, Hayden Price, Mark Budzevski and Tyler Schmidt. The Bearcats next game is Tuesday October 10 against the Boone Grove Wolves at home. Game time is 5:30 pm.

Boys Basketball: 7th and 8th grade boys interested in being on the basketball team may come to the office this week to sign-up. Remember, you must have a current athletic physical on file in order to tryout. 6th grade sign-ups will be at a later date.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

Drama Club has been canceled for today. We will continue to plan for the Halloween Dance next Wednesday.

 

Student Council will meet tomorrow after school in Mrs. Reid’s room. Please bring your chrome book!

 

Florida Trip: There is a mandatory meeting for those students going on the Florida trip tomorrow immediately after school.  Your coaches know you will be late for practice.  The meeting is in Miss Jarosz’ room.

 

Bravo Show Choir: The call-out meeting for the Bravo Show Choir will be this Friday, October 6 at 7:00 a.m. in the choir room. Participation in the Show Choir is open to all middle school students. Come and find out about this fun group!! See Ms. Hardesty if you have questions or want more information.

 

Fall Break: Students, if you are leaving early for Fall break, please come to the office for an Arranged Absence form.

 

Humane Society: We are taking donations for the Humane Society in the office. We accept cash or checks.
