ATHLETICS: 

A valid physical must be on file in the middle school office in order to participate in all athletic extra curriculars.

8th GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL

Official tryouts for the boys’ 8th grade basketball team will begin on Thursday, October 24, and will be from 3:15-5:15 p.m. Tryouts will continue on Friday, October 25, and Monday, October 28 from 3:15-5:15.  Team practices will then begin on Tuesday, October 29. 

7th GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL

7th grade boys basketball will be practicing in the Fieldhouse tomorrow from 3:15 - 5:00pm. 

6th GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL

Signups for 6th grade boys basketball are in the office.  6th grade boys practice/tryouts will begin on Monday, November 4th from 3:30 - 5:30pm.

FOOTBALL

Last night the UTMS football team traveled to Calumet HS and defeated the Lake Ridge Lakers 23 – 6. The Bearcats finished the 2019 season with a 5 and 3 record. The offense was led by Joey Makatura with 2 touchdowns, Jonathan Bullock with 3 extra points, Noah Monahan, Kayden Kingery and Brad Gibson. The defense was led by Bryce Compton with an interception return for a touchdown, Colton Church and Jayden Ortiz with a sack for a safety, Jackson Smith, Brad Gibson, MJ Mitchell, Caleb Klimczak, Xavier Haralovich, Jairo Acuna, Landan Good, Jackson Goodrich and Allistair Mohmed. Coach Hogan and the entire coaching staff along with the football team would like to thank all the students, staff and administration for all their support this season.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

ROBOTICS CLUB

Robotics will be meeting TODAY until 4:30pm.

TUTORING IN THE MEDIA CENTER 

Do you need extra help in school? Tutoring will be offered for all students in the media center on Thursdays from 2:50-3:50. High School students will be available to help you! This will run every Thursday, unless there is an announcement made about cancelation. So please take advantage of this time to get extra help on your homework.
