REMEMBER: TOMORROW IS LATE START WEDNESDAY

ATHLETICS: 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

The 8th grade defeated Morgan Township 15 - 13.  A great defensive effort by the whole team led to the victory.  7th and 8th grade girls will be home today against Hanover Central.  The 6th grade will travel to Hanover.

WRESTLING

Tomorrow is the first meet for wrestling at home vs. Boone Grove and Whiting.

BASEBALL LITTLE LEAGUE

Wheeler Little League registration is open online!  Last day to sign up in March 1st. 

SOFTBALL LEAGUE

Bearcat Rec Softball League registration is now open online at www.uniontwpsoftball.com  Be sure to register before February 23rd.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

CHOIR RESULTS

Congratulations to the 27 7th and 8th grade choir students for their performances this past Saturday at the ISSMA solo/ensemble contest at Valpo High School.  They earned 14 gold medals and 17 silver medals.  They made UTMS proud!  Congratulations especially to Olivia Jones, Leah Lewin, and Emma Clark for their great job on their solos!

CHILI COOK-OFF

On Thursday, February 6th, the band is going to have a chili cook-off fundraiser.  It will go from 5 - 8 in the cafeteria, the cost is $8 per adult and $5 per student.

ENCHANTED GARDEN DANCE

This Friday is the semi-formal UTMS Enchanted Garden Dance.  Tickets are $7 at the door.  Join the fun starting at 5:00pm; see you there!

FLORIDA TRIP MEETING

There will be a Florida Trip meeting on Thursday, February 20th in the media center at 6:00pm.

DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE

The Daddy Daughter Dance will be held on Saturday, February 22nd from 5:30 - 8:30pm in the high school.  Tickets include dinner and dancing; only $40 per household!  Proceeds will benefit the UT Softball Rec League.

CANDY GRAMS SALE

Student Council will be selling Valentine's Candy Grams at lunch starting on February 6th until February 12th.  They will be delivered to advisory on February 13th.  Candy Grams are just $1!  All proceeds will go to Riley Children's Hospital.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Ben Carson

Ben Carson was born on September 18th, 1951.  He is a Neuroscientist; he was the first to successfully separate conjoined twins.
