Bearcat Spotlight: Today was a solemn day in Mrs. Ornelas' 6th grade classroom as the students held a funeral for all of the boring and overused words. Mrs. Ornelas always finds creative ways to make lessons engaging, and this one was no exception. The Grim Reaper even made an appearance, adding a twist to the farewell of tired vocabulary. Students were fully immersed, actively participating in discussions about alternative words and brainstorming ways to elevate their writing. Way to go Mrs. Ornelas for finding unique ways to help our students succeed!

This year, we’re excited to participate in our first-ever We the People scrimmage at Hobart Middle School on October 30th. A huge thank you to Mr. Harnew for leading this initiative and for always going above and beyond to support our Bearcats. His commitment to excellence is truly appreciated!

Though the tournament didn't end with a win, their season was a success in so many ways, setting a solid foundation for the future.
