For Read Across America 2026, the main theme from the National Education Association (NEA) is “Create & Celebrate a Nation of Diverse Readers,” emphasizing seeing oneself in books, while also promoting “Champion Kindness” as a monthly focus for March, coinciding with Read Across America Week (March 2-6, 2026). Stop by a UTSC library and choose a book to read! We have something for everyone!

Congratulations to both of our 6th and 7th grade girls basketball teams as they both won the GSSC Tournaments today! Great season ladies! Go Bearcats!

Our 7th grade Lady Bearcat Ballers are finishing the season strong at the conference championship! And our sixth grade ladies just advanced to the championship at Whiting!

Another great day for UTMS Robotics at the Duneland Fall VEX V5 Robotics Competition held at Chesterton High School. Both teams competed in a strong field of 32 teams and represented UTMS with skill, teamwork, and determination. Finishing in the quarterfinals and finals!

Congrats to our UTMS Robotics Team for advancing to STATE! Tonight they presented their robot and shared their journey at the board meeting. Good luck at State CyberCats! #BearcatNation

Another incredible result for UTMS Robotics – Chase, Maisie, Gavin and Sam! They took 3rd place in the semi- finals at Plymouth IN and we couldn’t be prouder of this amazing team effort. Tonight's meet at Griffith has been canceled. The wrestlers will still practice here after school.

Thursday, February 5th will be meet the team Night at Wheeler High School as well as Boy's Basketball Senior Night. 5th and 6th grade youth teams will also be playing following the $1000 half court shot chance. Come support. Both teams will be available after the game for autographs and a meet and greet. GO BEARCATS!
